๐บ๐๏ธMarking Remembrance Day
Posted or Updated on 11 Nov 2024
Monday 11 November is Armistice Day, and marks the day that world war one ended - at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, in 1918. It is a time to recognise those who died during the war, and other conflicts since.
We encourage colleagues, patients and visitors to join us for two minutes of silence at 11am to remember those who have lost their lives in conflict.
We remember and stand with all those affected by the impacts of war. We unite across faiths, cultures, and backgrounds to honour the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces and their families. We also remember the emergency services and those who tragically lost their lives in conflict.
This Remembrance Day, let's unite to remember those who have served and those whose lives have been forever changed by war.
